Focus: single leg loading strength and examples of how to build upon this/ incorporate in a class setting.
Using exercises to highlight the correlation between gym work and functional movement
Injury prevention: detailed explanation and practice on how to properly hip load, maintain stability and knee control on variable surfaces
Balance: Spatial awareness and adjustment. This will help build ankle stability/ strength to help prevent any impending sprains
Agility will also factor into this, especially for trail runners
Posterior chain emphasis with info on core bracing, especially with a pack/ uphill.
Strategies on how to fuel for hiking and considerations for staying safe on the trail
Goal: promoting accessibility to the outdoors and pursuits. We will do some group hikes as well to get the whole community together, especially as a culmination.
